At the Institute
of Structural Engineering of the ETH in Zurich
a course concerning the e-learning project EasyStatics will
be held on March 26, 2004. Detail Information
is given by the course program mentioned above.

The course treats
the functionality of the program EasyStatics and
its possible uses as a tool for teaching structural
design to undergraduate students in civil eingineering
and architecture. It therefore concernes first
of all the teachers and their assistants involved
in this kind of teaching
|
|
However, the program EasyStatics might
well be of interest also to professional architects
and civil engineers. In fact, due to
its unique friendliness and its non-trivial application
domain, it can well become a tool for conceptual
design of non-standard structures.

At the course the following publictions
explaining the theoretical background in English
and German authored by Prof. E. Anderheggen and
Dr. P. Steffen will be handed out:
